The Role
One Schoolhouse is seeking an Events & Programs Manager to lead the execution of our Association for Academic Leaders’ programming.
This is a role for someone who takes real satisfaction in making complex things run smoothly.
You will coordinate the many moving pieces that bring our programs to life, working closely with our internal team and partner schools to ensure that every detail is in place. This includes managing registration and event data in Salesforce, overseeing logistics for in-person events, and running the technical side of our virtual programming.
From registration through the final session, you will ensure events feel clear, well-run, and easy for participants to navigate, whether on a partner campus or online.
When this person is successful, Academic Leaders don’t have to think about logistics at all. They can walk into a room, or log on, feel welcomed and oriented, and focus fully on the conversation and learning.
As our programming continues to grow, this role is essential to delivering that experience consistently.
What Success Looks Like
When this person is doing this work well, our events run smoothly, feel well-organized, and require very little intervention from others on the team.
Events run smoothly and feel easy for participants
Partner schools are well-informed and prepared, and logistics are handled with care
Rooms, materials, AV, and setup are ready with minimal last-minute scrambling
Participants can arrive, get oriented quickly, and move through the day without confusion
Virtual sessions run on time and without technical friction
Systems and details are accurate, clear, and aligned
Events in Salesforce are set up correctly and function as intended
Registration is straightforward, with minimal back-and-forth
Participant data is clean and consistent across systems and communications
Materials, schedules, and logistics reflect a high level of accuracy and follow-through
The work is proactive, steady, and dependable
Timelines are clear and consistently followed
Issues are anticipated and handled early, with backup plans in place
Small details are handled with care because they shape how the experience feels
Colleagues trust that nothing will slip and don’t need to double-check the work
Core Competencies
We are looking for someone who brings strength in the following areas:
Attention to detail
You notice what others miss and take pride in getting the small things right, because you know they shape the overall experience.
Execution and follow-through
You reliably move work from plan to completion and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Organization and project management
You can manage multiple timelines and moving pieces at once, keeping work structured and on track.
Systems fluency
You are comfortable working in tools like Salesforce and Zoom and can manage data, registrations, and logistics with accuracy.
Clear and proactive communication
You keep partner schools and colleagues informed, anticipate questions, and provide clarity before issues arise.
Problem-solving and adaptability
You stay calm under pressure, adjust quickly when plans change, and find practical solutions in real time.
Service orientation
You care about how the experience feels for participants and approach the work with a mindset of making things easy and welcoming for others.
