Berkeley Carroll’s Upper School seeks a full-time (8:30AM-3:30PM, Monday-Thursday; 8:30-2:45, Friday) Study Hall and student space monitor starting Oct. 1, 2024.
We are seeking an employee to staff the Upper School Study Hall (or similar student space) each day. While this employee will need to remain in the same space for all or most of the school day, there is also some opportunity for individual work (reading, writing, etc) each period. This primarily student-facing role involves the following responsibilities:
Taking attendance each period.
Ensuring students are following the rules and norms of the space (regarding technology use, silent study, etc).
Coordinating make-up testing by distributing and managing exams and ensuring compliance with exam expectations.
Maintaining an environment that ensures academic integrity
Communicating proactively with students, faculty, and the Upper School Office, both in person and via email.
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
An interest in being part of a school community
Strong interpersonal skills
Comfort setting and maintaining boundaries with high school students.

The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 an hour.
