The Director will be a leader of and for campus and capital renewal planning, with the vision to anticipate and respond to challenges and opportunities of the community. The Director influences and directs how space, which is one of Mid Pacific’s most valuable and costly assets are used and managed. The Director will provide senior leadership with information, expertise and recommendations in the areas of campus planning, capital project development, space governance, and capital renewal planning.
The Director supports the mission and vision of Mid-Pacific through the development of short-term and long-term plans that enable the strategic use of space and land. The Director is responsible, in collaboration with Administration, Faculty, staff and community for guiding the development of Mid-Pacific’s campus and its sustainability initiatives in support of the school’s mission. This includes coordinating development of the campus master plan, initiating space and capital planning projects, overseeing the design and construction of new facilities, major renovation projects and deferred maintenance, setting forth Mid Pacific’s sustainability goals, developing programs to achieve the mission, maintaining campus facility records.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Thorough understanding of facilities planning principles, best practices, and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Knowledge of master planning, space planning, information management systems and capital planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) to deal effectively with all level of clients and constituents including internal, external and non-business clients.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Be detail-oriented, possess solid analytical and problem solving skills, and sound decision making skills.
- The ability to anticipate needs, possess excellent organizational skills and be able to multi-task to successfully manage multiple activities/projects concurrently.
- Ability to analyze data and think critically, multitask and organize and manage complex projects.
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Dependable, adaptable, self-motivated and self-directed.
- High level of computer application competency and the demonstrated knowledgeable use of computer systems for business applications, reporting, communications and information/document management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Planning or related field required. Minimum of five years of progressively more responsible experience in architecture and planning. Certificate of registration as a Licensed Architect or Planner preferred.
