Custodial Services at the University of Tennessee at Martin is currently accepting applications for a temporary custodian position. The normal work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, but shift subject to change (40 hours per week). This is a temporary position and the selected candidate will not be eligible for employee benefits.
Job Duties Include:
* Performing a variety of custodial duties in support of classroom and administrative operations to create a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors in the building.
* Pulling trash and recycle
* Cleaning and restocking restrooms and general cleaning of buildings
* Changing light bulbs
* Floor maintenance including stripping and waxing floors; dust mopping and wet mopping; scrubbing and buffing; vacuuming; extracting carpets
* Maintain sufficient custodial supplies for the assigned areas(s).
* Reporting any safety concerns and/or maintenance issues to his/her immediate supervisor.
* Tearing down tables, chairs after special events; sweeping and cleaning bleachers after ball games
* May be required to assist in mowing duties.
