The Awty International School seeks a full-time Middle/Upper School Math Teacher starting as soon as possible and working for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, with the potential for renewal. The school is looking for an energetic, creative person who interacts with students and colleagues in a professional manner and is eager to become part of our Secondary Facultyteam. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Minimum Requirements:
BA or equivalent in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a similar scientific field
2 years of teaching experience in Middle or Upper School Mathematics
Ideal Candidate:
Advanced degree in Mathematics, Education, and/or Mathematics Education
Experience teaching more advanced math courses, such as Algebra II or IB Mathematics
Fluency with mathematical technology such as Desmos, GeoGebra, Wolfram Alpha, graphing calculators, etc.
Fluency in a second language (e.g. French or Spanish)
