USCâs School for Early Childhood Education is seeking an Associate Director of Business Operations to join its team.
Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Business Operations performs complex and varied finance, administrative and human resource functions ensuring accountability for timely execution, accuracy of the departmentâs financial transactions and for the integrity of the reporting functions. This position has accountability to the the School for Early Childhood Education (Headstart), as well as, University Relations Business Office for all finance and human resource functions. Responsible to ensure efficiency and compliance of external agency funding while supporting the business needs of the day to day operations for School for Early Childhood Education employees. The Associate Director of Business Operations also supports management in the interest and development of new projects and proposals and oversees the functions of the Budget Analyst and HR Payroll Coordinator. Position will be responsible to complete and maintain assigned personnel tasks/processes in accordance with Federal and State laws and other sources of funding as well as Head Start performance standards.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Bachelorâs Degree Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
5 years experience in human resources and/or employee relations
Some evening work and weekend work will be required.
Current physical and tuberculosis screening, and Department of Justice Clearance.
Valid CA Driverâs License, Transportation and state required automobile insurance coverage.
Some out of town travel opportunities available.

The annual base salary range for this position is $97,678.06 - $99,960.00 . When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidateâs work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 3 years, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experienceMinimum Field of Expertise: Business administration, accounting or related degree and budget experience including knowledge of government and fund accounting. Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
