Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and education level, and includes year-round housing and meals when school is in session. The Winchendon School, a coed boarding school serving students in grades 9 through 12, is a highly diverse, multicultural community. Founded in 1926, The Winchendon School currently serves 250 students in grades nine through twelve. Students at our school benefit from the guidance of more than forty faculty members, who live on or adjacent to campus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teach five sections in a seven-period schedule, including all elements of planning, implementation, and assessment.
Lead a ColLAB course in one of the blocks and support in the other.
Encourage program growth by working in a collaborative team to design the curriculum.
Serve as an advisor for 6-8 students, providing guidance in academic, extracurricular, social, and personal areas and serve as the point of contact for parents.
Work on a duty team, covering one night per week and every fifth weekend on campus.
Lead or assist with an afternoon activity or sport in 2 out of 3 seasons.

Attend all faculty meetings, department meetings, and other meetings as required.
Attend all school functions: community meetings, all school dinners, and other special events.
Complete grades/comments, advisor letters, and other forms of academic communication promptly and professionally.
Promote the development of character, community, and curiosity in all dealings with students, including enforcing school rules.
Pursue opportunities for professional growth on an annual basis.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Teaching experience preferred but not required
Bachelor’s degree required
Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset and belief that all students can learn
