At the Lycée, well-being is an essential foundation for learning. Under the leadership of the Dean of Middle School, the Student and Community Life Department is responsible for ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment while upholding community rules and agreements. The Lycée Français de New York is seeking an experienced professional to join this dedicated team on a full-time basis as a Secondary Assistant/Grade Coordinator, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. 

Compensation: 

This is a full-time, non-exempt academic position, operating on the Lycée school calendar. The annual base salary being offered is commensurate with experience and ranges from $50,000 to $60,000.

Here are the qualifications for this position:

Required: 

• Minimum of 3 years experience in an educational setting 
• Demonstrated knowledge child development, pedagogy, and positive discipline practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of professionalism; ability to react quickly, calmly, and appropriately, during emergency situations 
• Ability to interact with children in a positive and nurturing manner
• Proven knowledge of conflict management strategies

Preferred: 

• Bilingual or fluent in French
• Comfortable in large and small group settings 
• Experience with Google suite, Blackbaud, and other educational software
• Strong team player 
• Area of interest or special expertise such as expressive arts
