Holy Names Academy is seeking a full-time, year-round Senior Accountant to start June 1, 2025. The candidate works with a team of professionals and will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, processing journal entries, supporting payroll functions, and assisting with audit preparation in support of the mission of the school.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries to the ledger in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
Payroll Processing and Accounting: Assist with payroll processing and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of payroll transactions, including taxes, benefits, and deductions.
Financial Reporting and Account Reconciliations: Generate financial reports for internal stakeholders, including monthly and quarterly financial reports, as well as ad-hoc reporting requests. Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including bank and credit card accounts, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Excel Data Management: Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage large data sets, create financial models, perform reconciliations, and automate reporting. Experience with pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis tools is required.
Audit Schedules: Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist external auditors during the annual audit process. Ensure timely delivery of requested financial documentation.
