The Payroll/HR Coordinator will oversee and supervise the school’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Semi-Monthly/Monthly payroll processing and reporting through ADP
Managing Time and Attendance for employees, including timecards, Substitutes, and absences
Payroll processing of Annual Fund Donations, Garnishments, Club Payments, Pay Adjustments, Stipends & Employee Tuition Payments, work with the different departments to verify amounts
Maintains payroll files and resolves any payroll related issues with employees
Work with HR Director to ensure employee files are complete
Work with HR Director to ensure all payroll changes are accurate and complete
Make recommendations regarding cost control and efficient administration practices
Payroll reconciliation with Accounting Department
Performs other personnel/payroll/business office duties as needed
Assists with Accounting, HR and Payroll audits
Wage and Tax Register Preview
End of year HR and payroll preparation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Proficient and experienced using ADP or related payroll software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
Payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills including on the phone and through email
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Required to walk; stoop, kneel or crouch; reach with hands and arms.
Required to stand or sit and talk or hear.
