The Berkeley Carroll School is a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school of approximately 1000 students located in the Park Slope section of New York City. Berkeley Carroll is seeking a front office coordinator to welcome families, students, teachers and staff to our early education building while also providing scheduling support for the Student Strategies and Support Team. This is a full-time, 12-month position on campus. This role requires exceptional customer service and organizational skills, attention to detail and discretion. This position reports to the Director of Operations and the Lower School Coordinator of Learning Strategies.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk
From 8:00am-4:00pm, greet, welcome and assist visitors upon arrival
Assist in the delivery and distribution of all mail/parcels that arrive at the school
Communicate between teachers and maintenance, as needed
Be knowledgeable in emergency protocols (fire drills, lockdowns, etc)
Assist with the check-in of families during large events at the school
Organize lost and found items several times per year
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, which may include but is not limited to supporting the Transportation Coordinator and Maintenance Team.
Student Strategies and Support Team (SST)
Coordinate with the Student Strategies and Support Team to schedule between 75-125 family meetings with various departments throughout the year.
Act as project manager for the SST workload, which includes six people
Perform other duties as assigned by the Lower School Administrative team.

Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials. The salary range for this position is $55k-$75k. This full-time, in-person, non-exempt position begins July 1, 2025.

Ability to learn Student Information Systems like Veracross, Box and more
Familiarity with Project Management Software including Monday.com is preferred
