The Position

The Director Finance & Operations is a collaborative and organized leader who is responsible for the management of all school finance management and physical plant operations. Reporting to the Head of School and serving on the Leadership Team, Director of Finance & Operations is an institutional leader with a background in financial management who oversees the budget and all spending in support of the school’s mission and to comply with all applicable laws. They supervise non-teaching staff, providing direction and support in financial management and maintenance of facilities.

Powhatan School is a community dedicated to cultivating in our learners the knowledge, creativity, and character to thrive and contribute in an ever-changing world--serving 256 students in PreK-8th grade in Virginia, Maryland and the panhandle of West Virginia
