Web Developer
The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, along with the College of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for the position of Web Developer. This position's primary purpose provides the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture's College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) specialized technological services for developing web-based applications and solutions for the web presence to meet the growing technology needs of the College, its faculty and staff, students, clientele, referring veterinarians, and the general public. This includes providing guidance and coordination for constructing collaborative components built on Windows SharePoint Services to keep teams connected/productive by providing seamless access to documents, personnel information, and hospital information. This position meets with individuals, groups and other end-users to assess specific business and technology needs. This includes conducting a needs assessment, conceptualizing the technology processes required, scoping solution, leading the stages of development, testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and delivering the solution within an established time frame.
This position will be responsible for organizing, planning and managing medium to large-sized projects that affect the operation of CVM. It will also be responsible for building and coordinating CVM's web presence in according to UTIA's branding standards and template guidelines. It will lead, organize, inform stakeholders, and manage projects that involve the development of web and workflow applications. It will participate in ITS web management meetings to stay informed and communicate information between ITS and CVM about website functionality, new features, and road maps. It will work with ITS to centralize CVM's data to reduce the redundancy of data across the Institute.
