This is a full-time, non-exempt position within the Lower School reporting to the Head of Lower School. The position is a twelve-month position.
Major Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Head of the Lower School including supporting communication with families and colleagues, and organizing and managing the Head of Lower School's calendar, emails, and correspondences
Manage the Lower School calendar, complete requisitions, ensure accountability for all classroom, grade level, divisional and family events, and field trips, and work with the All-School Calendar Committee to maintain alignment across the school
Manage internal communications and schedule meetings as needed with Lower School Administration and colleagues
Manage Lower School budgets including ordering all supplies, completing state orders, owning and maintaining all budget-related records
Manage classroom coverage issues including tracking colleague time off requests and absences, and maintaining substitute lists, employment of substitutes, and working with the business office and Human Resources ensuring all paperwork is complete and up to date
Manage the logistics for prospective student admissions visits in partnership with the Lower School Director of Admissions
Manage implementation of all safety protocols in Lower School in partnership with Physical Plant
Manage the logistics during the hiring process in Lower School and support the onboarding of new Lower School colleagues
Organize and manage Lower School duties
Work in close partnership with the other divisions, departments (Communications, Physical plant, Development, Technology, Athletics), and Office of the Head of School as needed
Support mailings, external communications, daily community, and classroom-related projects for Lower School faculty
Serve as a school ambassador with families, and work with and support families as needed
Help support front desk
Distribute divisional mail and schoolwide communications within the division
