Childpeace Montessori School seeks a Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFOO) to join our administrative team. This is a year-round, full-time, salaried, exempt position with scheduled hours occurring primarily within campus operating hours. Childpeace offers a competitive salary structure based on qualification and a full benefits package. Salary range is $95,000 - $110,00 and is commensurate with experience.
The CFOO is a key partner to the Head of School and works directly with the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees to develop, implement, and oversee strategic budgetary and operational initiatives. The CFOO collaborates with key administrative staff members to ensure fiduciary responsibility, appropriate record keeping, facilities and safety management, and personnel management.
The CFOO supervises and supports 10 direct and indirect reports: Bookkeeper, Administrative Assistant, Accounting Specialist, Human Resource Manager, Facilities Manager, Campus Safety Officer, Facilities and Safety Assistant, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Assistant.
The CFOO supports the long-term strategic vision of the School while managing the daily financial and business affairs, including human resources, facilities maintenance, information technology, security, and compliance. The CFOO reports to the Head of the School and is a member of the Core Administrative Team.
Childpeace Montessori School serves children from 14 months through eighth grade on two campuses in Northwest and Southeast Portland. Childpeace’s classrooms are beautiful, vibrant environments in northwest Portland three blocks from the Willamette River near several urban parks, walking trails, and restaurants. The school is located near major bike and bus routes; many employees commute by bike, bus, or walk.
