IT Project Manager, Full time, Exempt, 12 month
Summary: The IT Project Manager supports technology across all of the School’s functional areas. The position will be responsible for designated technology systems and will help ensure continuity of all IT services. We seek an aspiring technology leader, excited by collaboratively managing the technology infrastructure of a pK-12 independent school. The position reports to the Director of IT and works closely with the Director to proactively identify and improve the use of technology throughout all of the school’s operations. The position provides direct support to end-users, and will also manage certain vendor relationships. This position is part of the five-person IT department, and may also be asked to teach technology-related classes in the future. The position works normal school hours (7:45 - 4:45) and occasional evening or weekend hours. This is a full-time, 12 month, exempt position.
Job Functions Include:

Configure and deploy computers for faculty, staff, and students.

Support students, faculty, staff, and parents with all types of tech support needs.

Demonstrate a passionate commitment to the rapid resolution of all support requests.

Manage IT equipment inventory including ordering and asset management.

Manage identification badge printing and building door-access system.
-
Install projection and audio-visual equipment, including data and AV cabling.
-
Support audio-visual needs of various school events including occasional evening or weekend events, both virtual and in-person.

Manage IT systems including mobile device management, print server, phone server, and copiers.

Assist in the maintenance of network switches and servers.
-
Seek out and proactively move forward improvements to the quality of IT services, customer service, and operational efficiency of IT for teachers, staff, and students.

Provide training and support on-demand for a variety of software to staff and administrators.

Regularly review system logs and alerts to interpret events needing remediation.

Create and maintain detailed documentation for various IT software and hardware systems, including screencasts for end users.

Collaborate with IT and IG teams implementing IT processes for effectiveness, security, and redundancy, resulting in robust productivity for end-users.

Support certain administrative needs of the IT department, including purchasing reconciliation.

Manage the IT department calendar, including audio-visual event coverage assignments.

Lead the IT department when the Director of IT is unavailable.

Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Lifting, carrying, installing, and positioning computer equipment such as computers, projectors, printers, and peripheral devices. Daily desk work, including significant amounts of telephone and computer time as well as mobility around the entire campus. This includes frequent walking, transporting equipment, as well as managing stairs as a part of daily routines and response to support requests.
Required Experience/Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience with computer projection audio-visual systems.

Experience with Windows Active Directory user management.

Desired Experience:

Experience teaching students and supporting teachers at the K-12 level.

Experience configuring iPads and ChromeBooks.

Experience with Windows Server, PowerShell, batch scripting, group policy, sites & services, DNS, DHCP, etc.

Experience with Veracross, Canvas, Google Workspace, PaperCut, FileMaker, Adobe Creative Cloud, Casper JAMF, Mitel Connect, Ricoh copiers, and Microsoft Intune.

Experience with database administration.

Experience with Linux OS/CLI and Xen virtualization.

Experience with wireless controllers, network switches, and LAN/WAN topology.

Experience with microphones and sound boards.

Experience hosting Zoom meetings and webinars.

Experience with a coding or scripting language.
