The Hun School of Princeton, a college preparatory boarding/day school located in Princeton, New Jersey, seeks a dynamic and creative Director of Annual Giving to join the Office of Advancement. The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for securing annual fund support from alumni, parents, and friends of the School and managing the Reunion giving program. This position will lead the strategy and messaging of all annual fund communications and programming, and develop a robust class ambassador program to increase volunteerism. The Director supervises the Assistant Director, Hun Fund and Young Alumni Engagement and reports to the Chief Advancement officer.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the School’s annual fund program for alumni, current and former parents, grandparents, faculty and staff;
- Developing and managing effective strategies for securing increased membership and leadership support from donors at the Red and Black Society level;
- Coordinating with colleagues on the solicitation of Hun Fund donors who are also leadership gift prospects;
- Promoting recurring gifts and five-year pledges to the Hun Fund;
- Managing a Reunion Giving program that supports alumni engagement and philanthropy;
- With the Director of Alumni Engagement, build a class agent/ambassador program through recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers;
- Partnering with the Advancement Services Coordinator and Director of Donor Relations to ensure timely recording and acknowledgement of Hun Fund gifts
- Partnering with Director of Donor Relations and Advancement Services Coordinator to produce the School’s annual Report of Giving;
- Planning and executing the School’s annual day of giving – Raider Giving Day;
- Managing the Hun Fund budget;
- Collaborating with Communications to ensure that the Hun Fund section of the School’s website is up to date, solicitations are approved, and other content is generated for Hun Fund related communications;
- Managing external vendors (Give Campus) who support the Hun Fund enterprise;
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of new initiatives, best practices, and innovative opportunities in the field;
- Managing and developing the Assistant Director, Hun Fund and Young Alumni engagement through supportive oversight, inclusion, and quality projects;
- Attending and assisting with Advancement events and activities;
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Advancement Officer.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred;
