Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The Director of Annual Giving oversees all aspects of the annual giving program, including but not limited to the following:

• Alongside the Director of Institutional Advancement, develops goals and metrics for the annual fund program, tracks progress, and provides regular reports
• Works closely with the Director of Alumni Relations and Marketing and Communications staff to design and implement all annual giving program communications and content via direct mail, social media, texting, and school website
• Manages fundraising elements of the Summer Strings Festival
• Coordinates with the Director of Institutional Advancement to develop annual giving targets for campaign prospects
• Creates, maintains, and updates annual work plan and calendar
• Face-to-face solicitations, direct mail, social media, digital and texting campaigns, online giving, phonathons, volunteer recruitment, and management
• Produces and leads targeted campaign for faculty and staff
• Analyzes annual donors and provides a monthly list of new prospects with major gift potential to the Director of Institutional Advancement
• Manages a personal portfolio of $1,000 annual donors with goals and begins to implement face-to-face visits
• Participates in campaign strategy meetings
• Generates reports for and attends Advancement Committee meetings
• Tracks all activity in Raiser’s Edge and works with the Advancement Services Manager to pull appropriate reports as needed

Bachelor’s degree required

Experience working in an educational institution preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, fundraising databases (preferably Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge)
