Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving 450 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a full time Development Coordinator for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The Development Coordinator reports directly to our Senior Director of Finance and Advancement.
The Development Coordinator is part of the highly visible and fast-paced Finance and Advancement Office, and the individual in this position plays a significant role in supporting the growth of Headwaters School. The Development Coordinator must be analytical, service-oriented and detail-oriented, and have the ability to be flexible and multi-task in an ever-changing environment. It is essential for the Development Coordinator to effectively interact with and serve a variety of constituents, including parents, students, volunteers, faculty, staff, board members and potential donors. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Computer proficiency, particularly in working with database programs, is required. Bachelor’s degree required. 3 + years relevant experience, preferably in an educational institution.
Essential Job Duties:
Support all aspects of events and activities initiated by the Development Office
Prepares and mails correspondence including but not limited to gift acknowledgments, general appeals, solicitations and drafts correspondence as requested.
Manage databases and online giving platforms, and prepare reports and presentations for various committees and key stakeholders.
Coordinate school fundraising events and provide on-site event support, as assigned.
Work closely with the Development Office staff to optimize the department’s use of DonorView by developing policies and protocols for data entry, prospect management, accuracy, and data management.
Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed.
Continually update and correct database records. Ensure accurate and standardized input of all data (e.g., address changes, business information, event attendance, solicitation status, and other updates)
Conduct preliminary research on prospective and current individual donors including parents and alumni.
Pull segmented mailing lists for solicitations and correspondence;
In collaboration with the Annual Fund Manager, prepare donor lists for inclusion in the school’s Annual Report
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Finance and Advancement or Head of School.
This is a full-time, 12-month hourly, non-exempt position and compensation is competitive for the greater Austin area.
