This is a full-time position within the athletics department reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletics.
Dates of Employment: Start date August 15, 2021
Assist Head Athletic Trainer to develop plans and schedule for providing athletic training coverage at all practices and interscholastic athletic events.
Perform athletic training evaluation and treatment of a variety of injuries.
Recommend and supervise rehabilitation programs for student-athletes.
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment, and rehab programs.
Establish a working relationship with school nursing staff.

Must be BOC certified and possess state athletic training licensure, certification or registration.
Ability to communicate effectively in high-stress/pressure situations when talking to patients, medical professionals, staff, and families.
Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines.
Have transportation to get themselves to off-site practices and contests
Receive a negative PCR COVID test prior to the start date (test can be provided by Shipley)
Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekends
Ability to carry 50 lbs
Ability to be outside for prolonged periods of time in a variety of weather conditions
