Le Jardin Academy, located in Kailua, HI is an International Baccalaureate World School offering students a world-class education from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. The Donor Database Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Advancement and is responsible for providing substantial support for Le Jardin Academy’s development, stewardship and relations, and communications initiatives. This role is integral to the Advancement team and liaises across the organization in support of Advancement initiatives.
Responsible for data entry, maintenance, and data integrity of RE|NXT database, including annual imports and regular maintenance to ensure data health
Responsible for accurate and timely gift processing
Implements primary components of donor acknowledgment plan: prepares acknowledgement letters and drafts/customizes communications as requested
Responsible for coordination between the Advancement team and Business Office to process gift deposits and reconcile gift income, and ensures accuracy between accounting and donor databases
Conducts/supports data imports/data conversion/upgrade projects for RE|NXT, including transfer of new contact information housed in CORE (student system)
Generates fundraising and constituent reports from the database regularly and as directed
Performs web-based and data-based prospect research to support major gifts fundraising and actively supports moves management data entry and reporting.
Proactively participates in continuing education and community peer groups to advance working knowledge of industry best practices
Assists Director of Advancement with projects and tasks as assigned
Assists Associate Director of Development by supporting fundraising initiatives and appeals, reporting activities, donor acknowledgement, and special events and projects
Assists Associate Director of Communications by contributing to written materials, editing, or proofreading as requested
Assists Alumni, Stewardship & Relations Coordinator by contributing to outreach programs, events or other projects as requested
Assists with the production of printed materials, including but not limited to generating lists, researching information, copy writing and copy editing
Other duties as assigned
2-4 years of related professional experience with database systems, data entry, or development; preferably with an independent school or in higher education;
Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar donor database system;
Proficiency in Google Tools and Microsoft Office applications;
Superior written, verbal communication and customer service skills;
Demonstrated commitment to excellence, detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment;
Positive attitude, relationship-building skills, a high-level of self-motivation, and a strong, responsible work ethic;
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, to think ahead and be a problem-solver;
