The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management leads, manages and evaluates all aspects of admissions, enrollment management and financial aid for grades Preschool-12 which include the student enrollment process from inquiry through enrollment and assimilation into Mid-Pacific’s culture, and annual re-enrollment through graduation. This position provides creative oversight in keeping with the school's mission to attract, enroll and retain promising students who thrive as part of the school community and in turn, contribute to their local and global communities.
The Admissions and Enrollment management team works collaboratively to present Mid-Pacific to families currently living in or possibly relocating to the Honolulu area. The team also works with international families who are interested in relocating, or having their children reside in a homestay environment provided by our trusted partner, Study and Stay Hawai’i. This team is responsible for articulating the mission statement and core values of the school through the media, school visits, meetings, and other arranged programs. Through these venues, parents can learn about the strengths of Mid-Pacific’s instructional program, faculty expertise, administrative leadership, athletic programs, facilities, fiscal management, diversity, financial aid opportunities, and the success of our college placements.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Entrepreneurial spirit with a keen eye for logistical management.
Ability to inspire and lead the development, communication, and implementation of a strategic, multi-year admissions and enrollment plan.
Significant experience cultivating relationships and building networks across a broad spectrum of communities and people.
Excellent communication skills; the ability to communicate using multiple mediums and reach across multiple networks in the U.S., Asia, and the Pacific.
Ability to simultaneously manage immediate, short-term, medium-term, and long-term tasks.
Experience managing multifaceted programs or projects, ideally in an education setting.
Detail-oriented approach to work with the ability to see, influence, and implement both the immediate and long-term goals of the program.
Ability to make decisions in high-stress situations and prioritize tasks.
Exemplary written, oral, and educational technology skills.
Experience designing, funding, and implementing a new program or large scale project in an education setting.
5-7 years of experience as a member of an admissions/enrollment team or educational program leader.
Minimum of five years experience as a manager.
Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree preferred.
Former work in leadership that illustrates systems thinking mindset.
Awareness of opportunities for program development and expansion locally, nationally and globally and willingness to serve as a spokesperson for deeper learning and progressive education ideals.
Empathetic, communicative, and team-based leadership style with a bias towards action.
Capacity to balance thought leadership with idea/program execution.
Significant experience with Google Apps for Education, Blackbaud, Ravenna or other enrollment management software.
