The Agnes Irwin School's Development Department is seeking an Annual Giving Associate to support the Associate Director of Development in the successful implementation of the Agnes Irwin Fund and other annual giving programs. This position is focused on growing annual giving, building a strong donor base, and inspiring constituents to join the community of giving in in support of the mission of The Agnes Irwin School.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Help develop and build a strong case for annual giving among all constituencies; educate current parents and young alumnae in a generous philanthropic culture
Strengthen the School's donor base through annual personal solicitations and community-wide giving campaigns to increase participation
Cultivate and solicit a portfolio of donors
Manage matching gift program by following up with companies
Work in coordination with the Director of Alumnae Relations to strength and increase alumnae giving volunteers
Work in coordination with the Director of Parent Special Events to inform Parents' Council Executive Council on annual giving calendar and timing of events
Assist the Associate Director of Development in design and creation of annual fund materials and stewardship of donors
Other duties as assigned
Successful candidates will possess:
Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience working in fundraising, sales, or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Experience in goal attainment by increasing participation, revenue, etc.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manager multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Strong computer literacy with a working knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Greater Giving
Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
