This position will serve as business manager for the administrative and nursing operations as well as the HR Specialist for IU Fort Wayne. This position will serve as the front line business manager and oversee the transaction processing of the units at IU Fort Wayne. This position is responsible for ensuring that adequate internal controls processes are developed and maintained to ensure fiscal integrity within the operations at IU Fort Wayne. Communicate with organizations regarding necessary financial activities. The position will serve as the HR Specialist for human resource functions at IU Fort Wayne. The position oversees the day-to-day financial and front office business operations, including accounting, budgeting, billing, purchasing, human resource, space, travel and internal payroll rules/policies for the department and personnel. Assist with financial analysis and financial activities for the organization as required. Will be the fiscal liaison for the Associate Vice Chancellor at IU Fort Wayne and the Executive Associate Dean of Nursing at IU Fort Wayne with the Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration at IUPUI.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business and three years of previous financial management experience.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
Ability to develop complex spreadsheets for financial development and analysis. Financial analysis expertise. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Must be able to manage and evaluate financial requests, identify best strategies for resource allocations and assist staff in meeting their objectives consistent with available resources. Independent judgment is used in making decisions and providing recommendations.
Experience in a higher education environment. Three years of Human Resources experience.
