The Assistant Head of School, Professional Development and New Programs is the senior administrator responsible for all One Schoolhouse programming other than online student courses. The Assistant Head of School will be responsible for the strategic direction for these programs and manage them. Roles and responsibilities for the Assistant Head of School include:
Development of resources and programs for academic leaders at independent schools. Responsibility for development of existing in-person programming for academic leaders (Academic Leaders Retreats, Partners-In-Innovation Forum, etc.). The Assistant Head will further develop resources from the former Independent Curriculum Group, working with the Independent Curriculum Resource Director.
Management of existing professional development programs. Development of the professional development curriculum and pedagogy; hiring and training of course facilitators; and course oversight and evaluation. This will include facilitation of some courses.
Stewardship of partners, both existing and new. Responsibility for maintaining strong working relationships with key partners for professional development courses and programs, including NBOA, NCGS, IBSC, Folio, TABS, and others. The Assistant Head will also be responsible for helping to develop new partnerships and making recommendations about existing partnerships.
Co-creation of non-credit student programs. In coordination with the Assistant Head of School, develop new, non-academic programming.
Other duties as assigned by the Head of School & CEO.
