Assistant Business Manager - Campus Design and Facility Development-2013386
The Campus Design and Facility Development (CDFD) team at Carnegie Mellon University is responsible for the planning, acquisition, design, construction and renovation of university facilities. We are searching for an Assistant Business Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity if you thrive in an interesting and challenging work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for inputting, reviewing and implementing the department's business processes related to accounting, budgets, invoicing and contracts for capital projects. Reporting to the Sr. Business and Operations Manager, you would manage the transactional and reporting work related to the current capital project business processes to include budgets, project approvals, purchase order troubleshooting, reporting, reconciliations, and workflow approvals.
Core responsibilities will include:
Creates various financial and cost analysis reports for leadership within the department and central Finance division.Formats and enters financial information and reporting with project managers for capital projects.
Works closely with accounting and technology staff members to ensure accurate financial reporting, and to solve issues related to purchasing and payment of capital projects contracted work.
Reviews and completes detailed financial transactions related to capital project and departmental finances.
Works with Contract Specialist to process contract documentation to include project assignment forms and change orders.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Minimum three years of relevant experience required; higher-education experience preferred.
System experience highly desired: Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle financials, PMWeb
