The Extended Care Assistant reports to the Extended Care Coordinator. S/he is charged to support the Extended Care Coordinator in collaboration to provide a safe and exciting extended care program to Woodland students.
Monday- Friday 3:00-6:00
Occasionally there will be additional hours for special school functions.
Interact and engage with students in preschool
Monitor safety and enforce adherence to school rules
Implement the program curriculum as planned by the Extended Care Coordinator
Assist the Extended Care Coordinator in addressing the ongoing needs of students and parents
Promote a safe and healthy environment based on safety standards set within the program.
Maintain accurate attendance records.
Lock all doors and buildings at the end of day.
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Candidates should enjoy working in a team and have strong collaboration and communication skills. He/She must be able to multi task, collaborates well with colleagues and families of diverse backgrounds, pay attention to detail, have a good sense of humor, be a self-starter and be highly flexible and responsive to the needs of our children and program.
12 ECE units required
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all constituents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
