This position manages the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department though prioritizing, scheduling, and tracking the department's daily activities via the work control system, interaction with shop personnel, and communication with both campus occupants and outside vendors. This position is responsible for coordination of all quality, performance, and emergency management efforts for the department in conjunction with broader university initiatives. This position also directs the activities of the storeroom, planning and estimating functions, and department surplus and inventory programs.
Developing and administering resource allocation plans to distribute facilities resources to the campus in an effective and equitable manner.
Developing and analyzing work performance reports, such as commitments met, total cost reports, customer satisfaction, schedule compliance, etc.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date work order cost information.
Managing and directing the facilities work control function, which provides planning, estimating, and scheduling for in-house and contracting work.
Manages storeroom and department inventories
Developing and implementing policies and training for work control activities.
