St. Bernard Academy seeks a qualified candidate to fulfill the role of Director of Development. As the director of the advancement team, this role is responsible for the oversight of the department. The director is responsible for annual fund solicitation and coordination, any directed campaign related activities, developing and directing the school marketing plan, and is charged with oversight in the following areas: fundraising, events, working with alumni/ae as well as the traditional functions of the advancement office. The ideal candidate will be outgoing with a warm personality that makes others feel comfortable.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Direct annual fund campaign
Assist with developing and directing the marketing plan
Manage additional campaign fundraising
Establish and develop a warm working relationship with parents
Establish school to business relationships
Assist in developing marketing calendar
Advisory role with development of marketing materials including SBA promotional items
Work closely with SBA Home and School Association
Collaborate with other staff members including the administrative team, Social Media Coordinator, and Service-Learning Coordinator
Coordinate parent gatherings
Operate development software
Oversee alumni relations
