Reporting to the School Administrative Chair, the Director of Admissions is responsible for all aspects of the admission and recruitment process. The Director of Admissions must demonstrate professionalism, approachability, and a deep passion for and commitment to the mission and core values of the Westside Waldorf School.
Position Responsibilities include: Follow the school’s established admissions process and enrollment and re-enrollment strategy and procedures. · Act as ambassador to introduce new students and families to Westside Waldorf’s warm, welcoming, and inclusive community. · Shepherd prospective students and families through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. · Create and sustain an active network of teachers and volunteer parents as key supporters to engage in personalized recruitment of prospective families. · Represent Westside Waldorf School at various community and other organization, (ESAD) functions (includes evenings and weekends, some travel). Follow consortium guidelines for admission process · Partner with the Communications and Operations Manager in planning and implementing recruitment events. · Work with Business Office in tracking deposits, tuition assistance process, and invoicing. · Implement Outreach events · Collect and analyze data about prospective families’ experiences at WWS. · Collaborate with faculty and administrative colleagues. · Work closely with the registrar · Work closely with the Early Childhood Department throughout the enrollment process · Be a member of the Acceptance Committee supplying all information needed in a timely manner. · Submit monthly enrollment reports to the school administration and the Board of Trustees
Qualifications and Characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred
Experience in school admissions or related field. · Experience in marketing. · Comfort and ability to work with a variety of software, database systems. · Expertise in social media and effective marketing techniques. · Outstanding written and oral communication skills. · Knowledgeable and passionate about early childhood through middle school education. · Deep commitment to Westside Waldorf School’s mission and core values. · Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work and leadership. · Warm and engaging customer service orientation. · Outgoing, articulate, and approachable. · Dynamic and sincere presentation style.
