Approves all General Ledger activity related to payroll, accounts payable, student billing, and cash receipts.
Manages the annual audit process providing all necessary input to ensure audit’s completion.
Manages annual preparation and filing of Form 990 and the school’s 403b audit.
Prepares monthly bank reconciliations, investment worksheets, and fixed asset inventory statements.
Formulates and prepares financial reports, ratios, and other data for debt financing compliance.
Coordinates with the CFO regarding capital projects, construction in progress, and endowment tracking.
Coordinates with the Development staff regarding the proper contribution coding and approval of accounts including pledge receivables, unrestricted, temporarily restricted and permanently restricted funds.
Coordinates with the Human Resources staff regarding payroll, benefits, and other accounts.
Coordinates with the Parents Association regarding fundraising activities and financial reports.
Reviews internal controls to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Supervises the Cash Receipts Manager.
Calculates figures, ratios and percents; compares, analyzes and interprets data.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the CFO.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting for investments and strong financial and business acumen.
Background in not-for-profit accounting and experience with Blackbaud financial management software preferred.
Exceptional fluency with spreadsheets and google documents.
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, consultative, and negotiation skills with all constituents in the work environment.
Outstanding organization and prioritization skills with a solid track record of meeting deadlines, while managing multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Track record of applying sound judgment; strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
