The IU Natatorium on the Campus of IUPUI is seeking a Business Manager. The Business Manager will manage and participate in the financial operations of the IU Sport Complex (IU Natatorium and Michael Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium) located on the IUPUI campus. The Business Manager ensures that the financial statements are properly stated. Oversees and manages the Fusion Membership Package the unit utilizes for POS and ecommerce activity. Develops the budget with the Natatorium/Track staff, and manage contracts with all customers and LOC’s. Recommend financial improvements within the unit. Manage the financial aspects of events and all programs/camps, and direct financial support for all events with all supporting reconciliations required. Search possible grant opportunities for the facility, insure compliance with campus and university financial policies and procedures and manage support staff engaged in financial management.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in a finance/accounting or business related field, plus 3 years of related experience.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and business procedures; solution-driven problem solving, effective and professional communication skills, exhibit a knowledge of office productivity software and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent); ability to analyze data, model, graph and develop reports for various audiences; confidentiality, positive attitude and multi-tasking. Ability to work under stress with diverse clientele. Ability to foster collaboration in an environment where resources are scarce and priorities may conflict.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time working at a computer, significant moving around especially during events, light moving, regular work attendance.
