Reporting to the President, the Director of Finance serves as a key administrator who collaborates with other administrators to ensure the execution of the mission and vision of the school through the financial administration and long term financial planning of the school. The Director of Finance position at Strake Jesuit combines responsibilities of controller along with the responsibility for budgeting and financial planning. The director is also responsible for human resource services and benefits management.
Founded in 1960 by the New Orleans Province of the Society of Jesus, a religious order of priests and brothers also known as the Jesuits, Strake Jesuit is a Catholic, four-year college preparatory school serving young men grades nine through twelve. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting or other related field is required. CPA licensure preferred.
Evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars, or professional associations is preferred.
Seven to ten years of professional development experience in progressively responsible positions in non-profit or education sector is preferred.

Excellent management skills and proven experience in managing a team of employees.
A self-starter and visionary with the ability to initiate and follow through on new programs and projects that generate revenue and goodwill in order to achieve strategic and organizational goals.
