Advertised Job Summary:
Serve as the office and business manager for the Institute for African American Research and the Center for Civil Rights History and provide support to the Directors. Manage and oversee the daily operations, including supervising student employees and providing general information. Under minimal supervision coordinate the business management and fiscal records activities for the Institute and Center. Manage media and public relations, including creating flyers and compiling and publishing a newsletter each semester. Assist in the promotion and publicity of special events. Prepare and process temporary and part-time personnel paperwork necessary for faculty, student employees, and visitors. Coordinate events sponsored by the Institute and the Center. Purchase and maintain an inventory of supplies, research materials, and other necessary items in compliance with university policies and procedures.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.
