Provide support to Assistant Dean with development and direction in fiscal and personnel matters. Maintain the personnel activities for the School of Education and Human Services. Review part time faculty and non-faculty assignments. Monitor and maintain multiple operating funds for the school. Analyze expenditures and revenue to maintain financial control of unit activities. Coordinate and perform special projects.
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Three years budgeting and/or accounting experience. Considerable experience with spreadsheet, databases, and presentation software. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Knowledge of, and experience with, university administrative and technological systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Experience in higher education and an ability to meet strict deadlines, work independently and take initiative when appropriate. Experience focused in fund accounting which includes monitoring, budgeting, expense reconciliation, and forecasting. Ability to function successfully and confidently interface with high level professionals. Involvement with the operational activities such as event planning, external funding acquisition, accreditation efforts and site visits.
