Rooted in ground-breaking tissue regeneration and biomaterial advances made at the University of Pittsburgh, the School of Dental Medicine's Center for Craniofacial Regeneration (CCR) develops treatments for wounds and defects of the face and skull that restore function and appearance. The CCR Business Manager serves in an advanced administrative capacity in running the day-to-day operations and finances of the Center.
Responsibilities include: - Overseeing the CCR's domestic and international faculty, staff, and student hires - Writing new job descriptions and revising existing job descriptions - Preparing documentation for salary actions - Drafting CCR policies and procedures - Managing CCR core facilities, including cost modeling, billing and collections - Advising the CCR Director regarding Center resource allocation - Assisting the CCR Director and faculty with grant writing and grant preparation/monitoring activities - Interfacing with the Office of Research regarding grant activations, transfers, and post-award monitoring - Understanding, interpreting and applying awards regulations
