The Student Life department at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Business Manager.
The Business Manager will work with other SORC staff to administer to approximately 600+ student organization accounts with approximately $3,500,000 in funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for posting annual budgets and closing accounts at year-end.
Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: – Authorizing transactions - Posting and processing transactions through University business offices - Resolving problems and reconciling student organization account database with monthly University level reports - Keeping accurate and up-to-date records and producing account reports as requested - Posting supplemental allocations and budget modifications - Interpreting and enforcing policy and procedures
The Business Manager will also assist in training student leaders and student staff in business practices. The position may make purchases and receive deliveries on behalf of student organizations.
Requires periodic evening and weekend duties.
