Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Human Resources Manager. The individual in this position will be accountable for:
Being responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding, employee management, time and attendance, compensation and benefits, and talent management
Administering benefits program and coordinating benefits such as health, dental, 403(b), long-term disability, and life/AD&D
Processing all new employee paperwork to ensure a smooth boarding process
Preparing offer letters for new hires and annual increases
Managing the School’s payroll and benefits administration for both weekly and monthly employees including: health and dental insurance, 403(b) contributions, disability and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, and FMLA
Ensuring compliance with federal and state statues and laws such as CORI, SAFIS requirements, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation
Processing journal entries in the accounting system for payroll and benefit transactions, and other Business Office entries, as needed
Confirming the Employee Handbook is maintained and followed with an eye to compliance to state and federal regulations relating to payroll and employee benefits
Conducting and coordinating employee education that helps communicate changes to benefits and provides an enriched open enrollment experience
Preparing and distributing ACA forms 1094-C and 1095-C
Preparing schedules for year-end audit, retirement plan audit, form 5500, and tax filings
Issuing W2s and 1099s at year-end
Implementing other tasks and projects in the Business Office as assigned by the COO
Facilitating positive employee relations and serving as a resource to all employees on human resource matters
Successful candidates will possess: excellent problem-solving, technology, and customer service skills; superior time-management skills with an ability to manage many tasks and projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining quality work products; excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and an ability to create effective action plans to meet goals; effective communication skills, both orally and in writing; an ability to communicate complex issues, as well as to maintain open communication channels with employees of the School.
This is a twelve-month, full-time position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

Candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree, business or accounting degree preferred; work experience in human resources; knowledge of applicable personnel laws, regulations, and benefits; experience with payroll and human resources systems, ADP and Senior Systems preferred.
