San Diego Jewish Academy seeks a full-time Office Manager for the Early Childhood Center (ECC). The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced, energetic team-based environment with a friendly, positive attitude and impeccable time-management skills.
The ECC Office Manager position is unique, primarily because of the range of activities handled in an atmosphere of continual interruptions and pressure. Under general supervision of the ECC Director, serves as office manager, performs a variety of organizational and secretarial duties including those responsibilities of a confidential nature dealing with personnel matters, confidential student and employee information files, and payroll. Duties performed are designed to relieve the administrator of office and routine responsibilities by planning, organizing, and participating in the school office administrative operation.
Education and Skill Requirements:
Completion of a two-year Associate’s Degree program or equivalent in higher education completed credits with course work in business administration, communications or related field.
Prior experience ini Early Childhood setting preferred, but not required.
Must have 12 units in Early Childhood Education course work completed within the first 18 months of employment.
Above average proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Fluency in spoken and written English; Spanish and/or Hebrew speaking a plus but not required.
Typing test score of 60 wpm or higher.
Five years of increasingly responsible office or administrative experience involving public contact and record-keeping experience.
A valid First Aid and CPR Certification issued by an authorized agency within six months of employment.
