The Wharton SBDC supports approximately 400 Philadelphia area clients/entrepreneurs in the Greater Philadelphia area with workshops/short courses and business consulting through a core staff of 3-4 full time staff members, Wharton undergrad and MBA student consultants, and several independent contractors. The Business Manager has responsibility for planning and managing the financial, human resource, administrative and facilities operations of the Wharton SBDC as well as assuring compliance with policies of the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, federal and state funding organizations. In addition, the Business Manager collaborates with the Director and Senior Associate Director and other SBDC team members to develop and implement program improvements as well as new programs for the 150+ Wharton students who work directly with the SBDC, entrepreneurs, staff, contractors and partners.
