Village Community School seeks applicants for the position of Major Gifts/Campaign Assistant. This person will report to and work closely with the Director of Advancement along with the dynamic Advancement Team. The Assistant supports all areas of the Advancement Office as needed to support the work of the Director of Advancement including special events, fundraising, communications, marketing, database management, and related activities. This is a full time 12 month position beginning July 2, 2018.
Fully support the efforts of Capital Campaign and Major Gifts Fundraising
Organize fundraising events and meetings throughout the year in support of the Capital Campaign and Major Gifts Program
Entering data and running queries in the CRM database on a regular basis; reports, profiles and organization of all related materials for presentations, board meetings and other fundraising meetings
Managing fundraising calendar, including arranging donor meetings in coordination with the Director of Advancement and Head of School
Manage catering, scheduling and set up for fundraising meetings and events
Perform other Advancement office duties as assigned
Previous experience with Major Gift fundraising in Independent School Advancement/Development office desired
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficient in database skills
Detail oriented self-starter who is creative and collaborative, with excellent organization, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
A commitment to getting things accomplished efficiently
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
