Headwaters School, a local Austin independent, coeducational day school is seeking a full-time Student Services Coordinator/Registrar for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Our Student Services Coordinator/Registrar’s reports to the Director of Studies and performs a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the academic programs for all three campuses. In addition to creating and managing the master schedule for the school, the Student Services Coordinator/Registrar is also responsible for managing the academic records of all students on the school’s information system and academic database.The Student Services Coordinator/Registrar also works in collaboration with all Division Heads at each of the campuses.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all student enrollment and records in the three school programs (SchoolAdmin, Powerschool and Naviance) including immunization records, transcript requests, graduation and withdrawals, release forms, testing, scheduling, final grade recording, etc.
Provide reporting to the lower campuses, Director of Studies and Heads of Schools, as needed.
Develop and maintain a checks and balance system of record keeping to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of student records to the end that the school conforms to all accrediting standards.
Manage credit audits and reporting to ensure graduation progress for current students.
Facilitate the annual health audit across all three campuses.
Assist in the creation of the middle and high school schedules on a yearly basis including requests, placements exams, course, room and teacher assignments.
Liaise with Technology Director to support teacher, student and family access to school record database.
Assist with new teacher orientation, training and support.
Assist the Director of Studies and Learning Specialist with the setup of accommodations for students who need alternative support.
Manage transcript and records requests.
Support the school and its leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
Tech savvy (data entry, internet navigation, email, etc.).
Experience with Google suite a plus (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
Experience with School Admin, PowerSchool and Naviance a plus.
Knowledge of html coding for building and fixing reports in Powerschool a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Understanding of and commitment to the value of independent school education.
