The Archer School for Girls is a contemporary girls’ school, grades 6 through 12, dedicated to supporting and challenging young women while helping them discover their passions and realize their true potential.
We are currently seeking a strategic, self-confident, passionate, and collaborative professional to join our successful Communications Department as a Graphic Designer. This position will be an important part of our lively, creative team and will play an integral role in helping visually communicate the mission of Archer.
Deliver consistently branded design assets that support the strategic goals and brand of the School
Ensure that creative assets remain cutting edge across all mediums
Participate in and lead the creative process by presenting well-developed and strategic creative solutions to meet all project objectives
Conceptualize and design projects with high accuracy and integrated input across parties involved
Develop, design and execute all print and online related marketing materials as briefed
Oversee brand image cohesiveness across all tactics including print, web, e-mail, social media, digital assets, etc.
Consistently research, identify and share current industry design trends and competitive reviews as they relate to the brand
Perform other duties as assigned
5+ years related work experience in a creative services role across print, online, and brand
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility regarding responsibilities
Proficient in all design related programs. Intimate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and expert knowledge in Mac platform. Experience with PowerPoint, Keynote, and photography a plus.
Excellent applied knowledge of UX/UI design and fundamentals
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Superior interpersonal skills; perform outstanding customer service at all times
Excellent organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills
A strong aesthetic sense; extreme attention to detail and accuracy
A good sense of humor and enthusiasm for a high-energy work environment
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
