Provides business office accounting services and development of the golf and learning center department business plan and budget. Responsible for paying all department invoices, accounts payable and invoice billings for external and internal events as well as responsible for all cash handing deposits daily. Advises and provides recommendations to Managing Director, Head Golf Professional, Head Golf Course Superintendent and Golf Services Manager on long term business direction and oversee all fiscal and budget matters. Provides timely reports and analysis ensuring budget control and compliance with University accounting policies and procedures. Performs economic analysis, forecasting, invoicing, collections and event coordination. Inventory control golf pro shop and university liquor sales and storage.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum 5 years' of accounting and/or budgeting experience. Knowledge of Access and Excel. Experience maintaining, manipulating and reporting from databases (FORE Reservations Software and Banner). Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Event planning experience helpful and experience with office billing, inventory control, invoices and collections. Advanced technical skills, experience and adaptability using an ERP system such as Banner. Ability to utilize word processing, develop spreadsheets for weekly and monthly reporting, and database applications such as Microsoft.
Knowledge or experience in the Golf Industry. Experience with golf course database applications such as Golf Now/FORE Reservations Point of Sale System.
