The Executive Assistant to the Head of School supports the head’s leadership role, and performs administrative and operational tasks to maintain an effective and well-organized office. This position supports the head’s daily operations of the school, short and long-term goals, and institutional projects. In addition, the Executive Assistant supports the Board of Trustees and helps to coordinate and calendar full board and committee meetings.

A Bachelor’s degree in business, education or related filed and three years of related work experience.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter who anticipates the needs of others, has good judgement and naturally jumps in and helps. Successful candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience in analyzing and comprehending complex issues and in making administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues is preferred. Candidates must have excellent computer skills. Candidates will need to work both collaboratively and independently, pay attention to detail and effectively manage projects and meet deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will generally include the following. Duties will be further defined and other duties and responsibilities assigned as needed.
Provide positive, cooperative, and excellent constituent relations by:
Responding appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner to general inquiries about the school.
Communicating the school’s mission and core values by respecting, affirming and protecting the dignity and worth of each member of the community, and exhibiting moral and ethical behavior.
Setting professional boundaries and collaborating with constituents within those boundaries.
Providing calendaring and administrative support to the Head of School including the arrangements for, and minutes of, all Board of Trustee meetings, lunches with guests, and all meetings involving the Head of School and Leadership Team
Providing logistic support, coordination, and oversight of specified Head of School events.
Ensuring high quality meeting materials, agendas and reports are prepared ahead of meetings as necessary. This includes editing, creating, formatting, managing key details, collating information and distributing.
This is a full-time, year-round, salaried position offering a generous benefits package including retirement plan, health benefits, paid vacation, and more. This position works through school closures (Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer) except when school administrative offices are closed or as directed by the Head of School.
